A school for living deliberately.

The Bare Earth Academy is a collection of courses for people who want to become more conscious of how they live, what they choose, what they keep, and what they create.

02 - The Art of Noticing

Learn to pay attention.

Before we can change our lives, we have to learn how to see them. The Art of Noticing is an exploration of attention, presence, observation, and awareness. Through a slower examination of your surroundings, habits, body, emotions, relationships, and everyday experiences, you’ll learn to recognize what often passes unnoticed. This course is an invitation to become more present in your own life—and to discover how much becomes visible when you begin paying attention.

06 - Becoming

Bring it all together.

We are never finished becoming. Becoming is a deeper exploration of change, identity, growth, seasons, endings, beginnings, and the ongoing process of creating a life that remains true as you evolve. This course is about releasing the idea that you have to arrive at a final version of yourself and learning instead to live consciously through change. It is an invitation to keep becoming without losing sight of who you are.

01 - Living Intentionally

Begin with the foundation

Intentional living begins with paying attention to the life you are actually living. This foundational course invites you to examine your choices, habits, values, surroundings, and desires so you can begin creating a life that reflects what matters to you. Rather than offering a formula for the “right” way to live, Living Intentionally gives you a framework for making more conscious decisions—and returning to yourself when life begins to pull you away from them.

03- Choosing a Life

Decide what deserves your life.

A life is shaped by the choices we make, including the ones we make without questioning them. Choosing a Life invites you to examine what you value, what you’ve inherited, what you desire, and what no longer belongs in the life you’re creating. You’ll explore values, boundaries, priorities, decisions, and the courage to choose differently. This is not about designing a perfect life; it is about becoming conscious of what you are choosing and taking responsibility for the life those choices create.

04 - Making a Life.

There is a difference between having a life and intentionally making one. Making a Life explores the everyday structures that give a life its shape: your home, work, relationships, routines, surroundings, rest, and use of time. You’ll consider how the environments and rhythms around you influence the person you become, and how small, deliberate changes can create a life that feels more supportive, meaningful, and distinctly your own.

05 - Living With Enough

Explore simplicity, consumption and stewardship.

What would change if you stopped asking yourself what you could have and began asking what is enough? Living With Enough explores simplicity, consumption, possessions, desire, money, stewardship, and our relationship with the material world. Rather than prescribing minimalism, this course asks you to develop your own understanding of enough—and to consider how living with greater intention can change not only what you acquire, but what you value, preserve, create, and leave behind.

Living Intentionally

Before exploring the curriculum, begin with the Academy's foundational course.

Living Intentionally introduces the philosophy behind The Bare Earth Method and provides the perspective needed to move through each pillar with clarity and purpose.

If you've ever felt like life has been happening to you instead of being consciously created by you, this is where your journey begins.

  • Your personal philosophy

  • A clearly defined set of values

The Bare Earth Difference

We don't teach productivity for its own sake.

We teach awareness before action.

Values before goals.

Environment before discipline.

Systems before motivation.

Reflection before reaction.

Because lasting change begins with how you see your life—not how quickly you try to improve it.

We don’t believe your life needs to be optimized.

We believe it should be understood.
